Debbie Hampe

Creative with Resting Leadership Face

Hello!

My name is Debbie Hampe.

I graduated May 2014 from Kennesaw State University with a BFA, concentration in Graphic Communications.

I love typography. I am a walking font-folio, and have fun identifying different typefaces as I see them. I am the designer that knows the difference between arial and helvetica, and I proudly wear the title of “type nerd”. I love working with type; fixing rag, kerning, and lining text up within a beautiful 4×6 grid is my idea of a good time. My other skills include vector illustration, business branding, and all things print.

Beyond typography, I am proficient at vector illustration. A portion of my work contains illustrations created in Illustrator.

At Kennesaw, I was the founding President of the Graphic Design Club, and President and Vice President of our AIGA Kennesaw Chapter when the chapter became officially registered with AIGA. I have also been on the AIGA Atlanta Student Board as a Member at Large for almost a year. Through this position, I organized AIGA Atlanta’s Student Portfolio Day, hosted at Kennesaw.

Right now, I’m looking for full-time work and freelance opportunities. You can contact me here. I look forward to hearing from you!
